Dawn Marie Marx Berry, 53, died suddenly at her home. She was the daughter of the late Charles Marx and Delores Estelle Feyen Marx. She spent her early years in the Chicago area prior to moving to North Carolina.
For some 15 years, she was an administrative assistant with Roadway Trucking Corporation. She also worked as a cashier with Wal-Mart for some four years. She was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by her husband of almost nine years, Ervin Marvin Berry; one son, James Garrett, of Jonesville; a step-son, Michael Carrier (Stephanie) of Lexington; two step-daughters, Lauralee Kelley of Raleigh and Shannon Ashe of Clinton, Massachusetts; three brothers: David Marx of Denton, Daniel Marx of Texas, and Dan Marx; two sisters, Charlene Marx of Lexington and Dena Bailey of Trinity; plus five grandchildren: Jacob, Damian, Dominic, Rebecca, and Ariel. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Joey Marx.
