For some 15 years, she was an administrative assistant with Roadway Trucking Corporation. She also worked as a cashier with Wal-Mart for some four years. She was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by her husband of almost nine years, Ervin Marvin Berry; one son, James Garrett, of Jonesville; a step-son, Michael Carrier (Stephanie) of Lexington; two step-daughters, Lauralee Kelley of Raleigh and Shannon Ashe of Clinton, Massachusetts; three brothers: David Marx of Denton, Daniel Marx of Texas, and Dan Marx; two sisters, Charlene Marx of Lexington and Dena Bailey of Trinity; plus five grandchildren: Jacob, Damian, Dominic, Rebecca, and Ariel. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Joey Marx.
