Mrs. Geneva Y. Gibson, 98, of Charlotte died on March 8, 2013 at home. She was the daughter of Rev. and Mrs. I.J. Yancy. Geneva graduated from Paine College in 1935, subsequently teaching in the Detroit, MI school system for more than twenty years. Survivors include her son, Clarence Gibson, Jr., daughter in law Carrie N. Gibson, Granddaughters, Patrice Gibson and Pamela G. Sewegal and husband John, Great Grandsons, Joshua, John II and Jeremiah. Geneva was a sorority member of Zeta PH. Beta.
