My sister, Terrie was so courageous, so beautiful. She fought a cancer that had no cure.

Terrie grew up in Kern County and attended N High, where she was a cheerleader and participated in many activities. She started a family in the mid '70s and began her career in dentistry while living in San Francisco. Returning to Kern County in the early '80s, she raised her sons, operated her own cleaning business, and attended Taft College, where she graduated as a Dental Hygienist. She loved working in the dental field. Terrie finished her professional dental career of over 30 years while working at Clinica Sierra Vista, a job she adored.

Terrie was a wonderful mother, loved her family, and Jesus Christ, her Lord and Savior. She had a beautiful heart and soul.

A few of her interests included gardening, baking and cooking from scratch, sewing; writing, welcoming guests at her church, and much more. Terrie was a perfectionist in all she did and was a very organized and detail-oriented person. She possessed a kind and caring heart, loved her sons and her three cats she left behind.

Many Saturday nights, my sister and I would join Terrie at her house where she felt comfortable to watch a movie with her, sharing many laughs and eating peppermint ice cream. I remember driving over to Terrie's house one special Saturday night with my sister, both of us wearing matching pajamas we had bought just like Terrie's. We knew when we arrived that she would be wearing them as well. I will never forget the look of pure joy on her face when she saw us both standing there dressed in her favorite pajamas. We wanted so much to surprise Terrie and we certainly did. They were pink, with tiny white polka dots on them from Victoria's Secret.
We will miss all the fun times and cherish our time we spent together, including the good times and the rough times, during chemo, and the stem cell transplant. She never complained. My sister was so courageous. She fought a cancer that had no cure.

Please forgive me while I grieve ~ I wish my Sister never died ~ I wish I had her back ~

We weep, that one so lovely should have a life so brief.
She passed through Heavens gate, and walked in paradise.

Sad as my heart that loved you. Sad are the tears that fall. But living my life without you is the saddest part of all. We had a beautiful sister bond. I will miss saying "I Love You" after every phone call. You will always be a part of me and I tell myself I'm so blessed to have had you in my life. Sweet Angel Terrie, please save a place for me. ~V

You were courageous and strong during your battle. No matter how weary you may have been inside, your compassion, love and big heart still shined through for the world to see. I know your faith has taken you home to Heaven and into the arms of Jesus. Your thoughtfulness and kindness can never be replaced. ~G
