Carolyn Pauline McGee Franklin, 70, of Mars Hill, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, September 15, 2015.
Ms. Franklin was born October 17, 1944. She attended California Creek Baptist Church.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Ruth Shelton McGee; and her companion for 34 years, Fred Junior Hensley.
Surviving are her children: Marlon Franklin, Darryl Scott Franklin (Lucille), Nannie Ruth Brillant (Mark); step children: Dianne Fuller (Mitchell), Jane Moody (Rick), Joan Roberts (Heath), Brinda Roberts (Gary), Jerry Hensley; grandchildren: Dorsey Ann Franklin, Carrie Marie Brillant, Bridget and Chelsea Powell; numerous step grandchildren and great grandchildren; siblings: Lucille Ray (Harley), Beverly Aldridge, Charles McGee (Sherri), Abby Silver (Michael); several loving nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 18, 2015 at Laurelton Chapel Freewill Baptist Church with Reverend Josh McDevitt officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Thursday at Madison Funeral Home.
