Again we have been called upon to bid farewell to one of our most loved and respected citizens, death having claimed as its victims. P. W. Duree after an illness of but one week.

Peter Walls Duree was born in Appanoose county, Iowa, June 24, 1860, and died at his home in Centerville, April 1, 1912, at the age of 51 years, 9 months and 8 days, his entire life being spent in Appanoose county. For several years he lived southwest of Centerville near Wesley Chapel. Two years ago he came to Centerville, residing at 211 S. 15th street. He was loved and respected by all who knew him and will be sadly missed by his many friends and neighbors.

He united with the Methodist church at Wesley Chapel of which he remained a faithful member until he was called to his home beyond.

Mr. Duree was married on Dec. 24, 1884 to Chloe I. Felkner, who survives. He was a devoted husband and loving father. Besides his wife he is survlved by one daughter, Mrs. Lelah Pullman, one grandson, Donald Pullman, one sister, Mrs. A. L. Bradley, of Seattle, Wash., and one half brother, Otis Duree, of Rockford, Ill., besides a host of friends and neighbors.

F u n e r a l services were hold at the late residence on Tuesday, April 2, 1912 at 2 p. m., interment at Oakland Cemetery.
