WINSTON-SALEM - Charles Michael Joyce, 58, died unexpectedly, Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at his home. He was born November 14, 1953 in Forsyth County to Paul Joyce and Virginia Smith Crews. Mr. Joyce was retired from the town of Kernersville with 33 years of service and was of the Baptist faith. There will be no formal service at this time. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Joyce. He is survived by three children, Michael Wayne Joyce of Walkertown, Christopher Shane Joyce and Heather Joyce, both of Winston-Salem; one grandson, William Shane Joyce and one sister, Doreen Chaptman of Walkertown. The family will receive friends Sunday, October 7, 2012 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Burroughs Funeral Home and other times at the home. Burroughs Funeral Home in Walnut Cove is serving the Joyce family.
