SUMMERFIELD – Calvin J. “Brad” Bradley, 89, passed from this life Saturday, September 12, 2015. Born in Hot Springs, Arkansas he was the son of the late Joseph and Zoe (Webb) Bradley.
Brad attended Arkansas A & M College and the University of Arkansas. He was a graduate of Boston University and St. Louis University.
He served his country for 18 years with stints in the Navy, Army and Air Force leaving the Air Force as a Major.
He was employed with the Defense Mapping Agency, St. Louis, MO as a cartographer and retired in 1972.
Brad came to Summerfield at Spruce Creek South in 2000. He was most proud of his marriage of 51 years to his wife Barbara and their family. He enjoyed fishing, writing and sharing stories.
Brad was a mason and member of the Boston, MA Masonic Lodge and the American Legion Post 347 of Lady Lake.
He leaves his wife, Barbara Bradley of Summerfield, sons, Mark J. Bradley and wife Brenda of Malvern, AK; Robbie M. Bradley and wife Jane of Hot Springs, AK; Evan J. Bradley of Summerfield, FL; daughter, Anna K. Bradley-Grossmann and husband Heiner of Jacksonville, FL; 7 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
A Committal Service with Military Honors will be held on Friday, September 18, 2015 at 11 AM at Florida National Cemetery.
