GEORGE M CSIKOS AKA "Mr. C"--75:
of Lakewood OH, passed away peacefully on 26 Aug 2015 surrounded by his family. George was born on 4 Sep 1939 in Felsogod, Pest, Hungary to the late Karoly & Ilona (Kovacs) Csikos. He was one of nine children. George served in the US Army (Fort Knox) & retired from Ford Motor Co. as a motor mechanic after 42 years of service.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Dianna Csikos (nee Mastney) of 51 years; children Deb (Brad) Vandrasik, Gregg (Susan) Csikos and Doug (Anita) Csikos; grandchildren Chris, Mac, Ethan, Peter and Wyatt; siblings Marge (Bob) Bees, Peter (Linda) Csikos and Gabe (Candy) Csikos. George will also be dearly missed by his loving companion and furry friend, Zeus.
George was a unique & fun-loving soul who emanated joy in everything he did. He was part of the scouting program for 35 years & served as a scout master for 15 years. He loved all outdoor activities such as kayaking, hiking, camping & gardening. George loved to dance & was an instructor with Arthur Murray Dance Center. He will be truly missed by all those whose lives he touched.
Per George’s request, cremation has taken place. A celebration of his life will take place on Saturday 5 Sep 2015, 10 AM at the Sunset Chapel. Favorite photos and stories would be appreciated. Inurnment to follow in Sunset Memorial Park. In George’s memory, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, the American Cancer Society or to the American Heart Association.

Our family would like to extend our utmost gratitude to all the extended family and friends that made it for George's celebration. The day would not have been complete without all of you. For anyone who did not have the opportunity to sign the guest book, please feel free to leave a memory

ARRIVAL-George arrived in America on 1 Nov 1950 at New York NY on the General Blachford & became a citizen in 1964. George worked for Ford Motor Company from 1959-1999. He enjoyed scouting as a child in Germany & then in the USA. With a Cleveland unit of Hungarian Scouts he was in a folk dance troup that performed around the country & he still enjoys dancing. George was a scoutmaster for the Lakewood Congregational Church Troop #78 for 15 years & is still called "MrC" by many scouts & their parents.
