Jeremy Matthew Stone, 42, of Beckley, left us here to be with Jesus Thursday, September 10, 2015. He was born June 20, 1973, and was one of the amazing sons of Jerry and Susie Embry Stone of Oak Hill. Not only did he leave behind two loving and supportive parents whom he adored, but also a brother, Gary Stone of McKinney, Texas, that he loved tremendously. Jeremy also left behind a wife, Andrea Stone of Beckley, with whom he shared a deep love and intimate friendship, a stepson, Clay Aliff (9), who thought the world of him, and an unborn baby who will never know the love of his dad's arms. Jeremy and his wife had big plans for their forever together .... they had found their dream home and were going to be surrounded by the laughter and love of children, by the life of fruit trees and flowers, and by the adventure and entertainment of whatever animals entered their world.

He was so excited about their new baby boy ... someone to proudly carry on the Stone name. Jeremy and Andrea were daily growing new dreams and schemes for their future together. But God had different plans for Jeremy and his family.

Jeremy was employed at the MacArthur Walmart as an assistant manager. Those who worked with Jeremy were blessed to know him. He had a brilliant smile, a caring nature, a vibrant sense of humor, and a genuine way of making most everyone feel special and appreciated. Jeremy loved God with his whole heart, was always so easy-going, and loved to laugh. He was a perfect complement to his wife, a strong leader and encourager, and a friend who would always listen, give solid advice, and somehow brighten everyone's day. He loved attending church at Calvary Assembly of God and was excited to form supportive relationships with other believers.

Jeremy was blessed with many wonderful friends, and even though time and distance separated them, the connection, understanding, and fond memories were strong. His longtime friends, Jason Bess of Beaver and Jason McVey of Beckley, were a constant source of encouragement and support for Jeremy. He was preceded in death by his grandmother Virginia Stone, by maternal grandparents Jay and Adele McCoy, by grandfather John Embry, his good friend Mike Houck and another friend, Ski Thomas.

Other surviving family members include grandfather, John D. Stone, aunt and uncle Raymond and Sharon Holley, aunt and uncle Dean and Karen Lockett, cousins Kevin Lockett, Kim Lockett, Mickey and Jennifer Holley, Keith and Kim Matheny, nieces Savannah and Jessica Stone, a stepgrandmother Geneva Embry, an uncle Bob Pinnick, father-in-law and mother-in-law Glen and Rosa Meadows, a brother-in-law Greg and his wife Misty O'Neal, and their children Aiden and Lauren.

Funeral services will be conducted to Celebrate the Life of Jeremy Stone on Monday, September 14, 2015, at 1 p.m. at the Calvary Assembly of God with Pastor John Jordan officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens at Prosperity, WV. Friends may visit with the family from 11 a.m. until service time on Monday at the church. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
