Sherry Kay Green 57 of Quinlan went to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday, September 12, 2015 at her residence. Memorial services celebrating Sherry’s life will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, September 18, 2015 at Ingram Funeral Home in Quinlan with Rev. Adam Williams officiating, burial will follow at Hart Cemetery.
Sherry was born February 26, 1958 in Dallas. She is the daughter of the late Leon James Green and Carol Frances Ferran Green. She graduated from Samuel High School in Dallas and went on to attend EL Centro College. Sherry worked many years for O’Reilly Auto Parts in Seagoville. She moved to the Lake Tawakoni community in 2000. She is preceded in death by her son, Michael Paul Quinlan in 1985, sisters, Carol Jane Green, Mary Ann Johnston and Tracy Green, brothers, Paul Green and Tommy Green, great-niece, Bailey Miskell and a great-nephew Colton Whaley. In her younger years she could be found every Saturday night watching ‘The Von Erich Family’ wrestling. Sherry enjoyed bowling, fishing, sports, playing bingo, going to the casinos, but her favorite time was spent being with her granddaughter.
She is loved and will be missed by her son, Dennis Quinlan & wife Carolyn of Irving. Granddaughter, Maddyn Quinlan of Irving. Longtime friend, Nancy Stinnett of Quinlan. Sisters, Donna Dell & husband Russell of Quinlan, Dorothy Green and Delores Green & husband Kevin all of Mesquite. Brothers, Leon Green of Royse City, John Green of Quinlan, Charles Green & wife June of North Carolina, Terry Green & wife Cleta of Quinlan, Clayton Green & wife Virginia of Rockwall and Steve Green of Carrollton. Several nieces and nephews. Brother-In-Law, Johnny Johnston of Houston. She is also survived by her K-9 kids, Red and Allie.
