Bobby Banks, 69, of Berea, died at his residence on Sunday, September 13, 2015 following a short illness. He was a Rockcastle County native born October 12, 1945, son of the late John and Edna Lutes Banks, and had been a resident of the Berea area all his life. Bobby was a retired welder with NACCO Materials Handling Group, member of the Dairy Queen Breakfast Club, and member of Lighthouse Baptist Church.

Survivors include 4 children, Marie Banks, Ray (Debbie) Banks, Tammy Tomes, John (Pamela Northern) Banks; 5 siblings, Ann Carpenter, Hauley Banks, Dick Banks, Brenda Fox, Alice Banks; 8 grandchildren, Bobbie (Trent) Harmon, Joseph (Shante) Tomes, Ashley, Elizabeth, Melissa, Logan, Justin, Kaylee; 5 great grandchildren, Ryland, Liam, Natalie, Scarlet, and Evie who is expected soon. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mildred Himes Banks; 1 son, Bradley Banks; and 2 brothers, Bluford Banks, Elmer Banks.

Everyone is invited to A Time of Remembrance scheduled for 1:00 pm, Saturday, September 19, 2015 at Lighthouse Baptist Church for sharing food, fellowship and memories. In following Bobby's wishes, he was cremated and the burial of his cremains was private.
