James was the son of Daniel Ogden and Phebe Lindsley Ogden. He was never married. Siblings named in his Last Will and Testament were George W. Ogden, Silas Ogden, and Eliza Ann Ogden Mead; all predeceased him. The following per newspaper article in Julia Ogden Guild's scrapbook who was my ggrandmother- Tina Utter) His estate was bequeathed to nieces and nephews. He died at the home of his nephew George Mead at almost 89 years old, and he was the last child of Daniel Ogden and wife Phebe. He was born in Sparta, Sussex County, NJ. and came here in 1802 at the age of 4 1/2 years.
