Jeremy Duane “Wookie” Morris, 38, of Bloomington, died Monday, January 12, 2015, at his residence.
Born February 23, 1976, he was the son of Dennis Morris and Anita (Haste) Morris.
He was a graduate of Bedford North Lawrence High School with the Class of 1994 and a self-employed contractor in construction. He was a big guy with a big heart, always offering to help anyone in need.
Surviving are his mother, Anita (Mike) Baker, Indianapolis; his father, Dennis (Toni) Morris, Bedford; one brother, Jay Morris, Danville, IN; one niece, Amaya Morris, Danville; two nephews, A.J. Henry, Hallendale, Fl and Jai Paul Patrick, Nashville, IN; one step-sister, Jessica (Gilbert) Patrick, Nashville, IN; his paternal grandfather, William Morris, Bedford; his maternal grandmother, Dorothy Haste, Bedford; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Melphia Morris and his maternal grandfather, William Haste.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home, Bedford, with Pastor Jordan Morris officiating. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery, Bedford.
Friends may call on Monday from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
