Leslie Arnold Keene, 85, of Wheelersburg, passed away on September 11, 2015 at his home.

Born on February 13, 1930 in Freeburn, Kentucky, he was a son of the late Frank and Lona Slone Keene and was a member of Berean Baptist Church.

Mr. Keene was a U.S. Army veteran, and a retired teacher for Portsmouth City Schools, where he taught business classes.

Also preceding him in death were his wife, Hazel Bradshaw Keene, a twin brother, Bruce Keene and a sister, Sibyl Williamson.

Surviving are two daughters, Marsha (Mike) Lyman and Linda (Jack) Woodring; six grandchildren, Jonathon, Andrew, and Sarah Lyman, and Kayla, David, and Daniel Woodring and several nieces and a nephew.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, September 14th at the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN SCIOTOVILLE with Pastor Tim Goodwin officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens with military honors by the James Dickey Post of the American Legion.

Memorial gifts may be sent to Berean Baptist Church Mission Fund for designation for the Keene Kitchen and Dining Center at Forest Glen Bible Camp in Nova Scotia, Canada, where the Keenes served during summers from 1993-2005.
