Survivors include his wife Joyce Tyl Schoen; two step-sons, Jimmy Rie and Benjie Tyl and his wife Brenda; seven step-daughters, Paula Weaver and her husband Bryan; Cindy Rie, Marie Koeneman, Vicki Fisk, Becky Shirley, Lisa Boyd and Angela Murphey; two sisters and brother-in-law, Ethel Morse and Rosalie and John Pope; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Paul Schoen, Harry and Cheryl Schoen and Joe and Thana Schoen; number of step- grandchildren and step great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
