SCOTT, Troy D. "Scottie"- Of Linden, age 79, died Monday, November 27, 2006 at Genesys Hospice Care Center in Goodrich. Funeral service will be held 11AM, Thursday, November 30, 2006 at Twin Cities Baptist Church, G-5339 South Saginaw Street in Flint. Pastor Walter Andrews officiating. Burial in Flint Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Twin Cities Baptist Church. Visitation 4-8PM Wednesday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. Mr. Scott will be at the church 10AM Thursday until the time of the service. Troy was born on February 17, 1927 the son of the late Gentry and Roxann (Atkins) Scott. He married Mary Martin-Burnett on April 25, 1959 in Burton. Troy was employed by General Motors V-8 Plant with 32 years of service. He enjoyed traveling, camping and he loved Blue Grass music. Troy was a member of Twin Cities Baptist Church for 50 years. Surviving are wife, Mary of Linden; children, Carol and husband (Ken)Yarbrough of Linden; John and wife Phyllis Burnett of Gladwin; 7 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 4 great great-grandchildren.
