Marion May Marks Gardner, 85, our beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed away June 30, 1996 in a local hospital, following a lengthy illness.

Born January 8, 1911 in Los Angeles, Calif. to Benjamin and Inez Fox Marks. Married J.H. Jack Gardner, former University of Utah basketball coach and presently a consultant for the Utah Jazz, August 29, 1935 in Los Angeles.

Marion was an avid reader, loved to play bridge, traveled extensively and enjoyed being with her family. Member, Salt Lake Country Club. Member, Pi Beta Phi Sorority at USC, where she met her husband.

Survived by her husband of over 60 years, of Salt Lake City; son, James B. (Diane) Gardner of Ventura County, California; three grandchildren, Natalie, James and David. Preceded in death by a brother, Jack.

Funeral service Friday, July 5, 1996, 11:00 a.m., Larkin Sunset Lawn Mortuary, 2350 East 1300 South. Friends may call at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East So. Temple, Tuesday evening, July 2, 6-8 p.m. and on Friday, one hour prior to the service.

Interment: Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
