PASSED AWAY
Death of John Devine of Old Albuquerque Yesterday Afternoon.
Shortly before 5 o’clock yesterday afternoon occurred the death of John Devine, Sr., of Old Town. The deceased was born in Armagh, county Tyrone, Ireland, in 1826, making him 69 years of age at the time of his death. Since 1847 he had been in the United States military services, passing through both the Mexican and civil wars, and during the last of his life was on the retired list as orderly sargeant. The funeral will probably take place tomorrow morning.
