Alfred Orin Bumgardner, 94, of R. R. 1, Chatham, died Sunday at St. John's Hospital North. He was born near Pleaseant Plains the son of Marcellus Marion and Martha Ellen Malone Bumgardner. His first wife, Marie Ballweg died in 1918 and his second wife, Florence Lonas died in 1969. A resident of Chatham for many years, he was a retired auto mechanic. He was a member of the Chatham Lodge AF & AM.
Surviving are one daughter, Miss Dorothy Bumgardner of Chatham; two sons, Albert Orin Bumgardner of Seattle, Wash.; and Melvin L. Bumgardner of Tacoma, Wash.; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. Services at the Staab Funeral Home. Burial in Mechanicsburg Cemetery.
