Leo Flangas, 71, Magna, was pronounced dead of natural causes on arrival at a Salt Lake hospital Saturday at 7:55 p.m.

Leo George Flangas, 72, Magna, cantor at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, died of a heart attack Saturday at 8 p.m. while taking part in special religious services at the church.
Mr. Flangas, a farmer, had been a Utah resident for 54 years.
He was born in Gardikion, Greece, Aug. 8, 1888, a son of George and Alice Taxarhe Flangas. He married Theodora Lekas Flangas Nov. 20, 1919, in Salt Lake City.
Mr. Flangas was a member of the Athansios Diakos and Greek-American Progressive Assn. Lodges.
He is survived by his widow; sons and daughter, Alice Cozakos, Salt Lake City; Peter L., Las Vegas, Nev.; Dr. Arthur Flangas, Madison, Wis., and George Flangas, Magna; two grandchildren; and a brother, Basil Flangas, Gardikion, Greece.
Prayer services will be conducted Tuesdayat 7 p.m. at Deseret Mortuary, 36 East 7th South. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery.
