She was born on September 16, 1927 in Portsmouth to the late Clarence H. and Martha J. (George) Miller. Moving to Sunbury in 2007 from the east side of Columbus, she was a lifelong homemaker dedicated to the needs of her family.
In 1945 she married Virgil Conley; together they shared 54 wonderful years until his passing in 1999.
Skilled with the needle and thread, she was a beautiful seamstress. With her spunky nature she earned the nickname “Giggles”. Martha will long be remembered for her kind loving ways and beautiful smile.
She is survived by her daughter Karen (Doug) Gulley of Sunbury, daughter-in-law Andrea Conley, grandchildren Chris, Andy, Traci Gulley, great-grandchildren Blake, Mathew, Chloe, Anthony, sisters Virginia Rockwell of Portsmouth and Carol Coldiron.
In addition to her husband and parents she was also preceded in death by son Virgil “Rick” Conley and many brothers and sisters.
Friends may call 5-8 p.m. Monday, September 14, 2015 at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, SR’s 3 at 61, Sunbury. Graveside services will follow 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at Sunbury Memorial Park with Pastor Michael Mack officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Heartland Hospice 6500 Busch Blvd, Columbus, Ohio, 43229.
