Edna Mae Lewis,82, of Shallotte died Friday September 11, 2015 at her home. Edna was born in Brunswick County on February 18, 1933 and was the daughter of the late Olen and Lula Hewett Lewis. She was also preceded in death by four brothers, Edgar, Vernon, George and H.B. Lewis; two sisters, Zettie Cumbee and Vestie Kanipe. She was a member of the Shallotte Volunteer Rescue Squad for many years and a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. She was a Paralegal for many years while living in Charlotte and also when she returned to Shallotte. She is survived by a sister, Faye Lewis of the home and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Monday September 14, 2015 at 3pm at the White Funeral and Cremation Service Chapel, 3660 Express Dr., Shallotte. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service at the funeral home.
