Lloyd “Dumpy” Reynolds, age 80, of Sophia, WV, died of cancer at his home on Sept. 10, 2015. Born on July 10, 1935, he was the son of the late Thomas V.(Valentine) and (Violet) Matrue (ENNIS ADKINS) Reynolds of Meadow Bridge. Lloyd was a heavy equipment operator with Vecillio and Grogan before his retirement. He loved raccoon hunting, working on cars, and working on many projects with “Uncle Bill” and the Riley brothers. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by son, Michael “Mike” Reynolds; brother, Floyd “Pet” Reynolds; sister-in-law, Betty Reynolds; nephew, Greg Reynolds; father-in-law, H.D. Parks, Jr.; brother-in-law, Hank Parks; great-nephew, Tyler Vaught; great-niece, Chloe Milam; and his dog “Jack.” Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 45 years, Sandy, whom he always called his “Little Woman”; sons, Lloyd “Bunky” Reynolds and wife, Carol, and Zan George Reynolds; daughters, Emmalee Reynolds Vass, and Quanna Swilley and husband, Rob; brother, Thomas Reynolds and wife, Virginia; sister, Velda Fitzwater; grandchildren, Harold, Christopher, Jeremy, Jamie, Ashton, Christen, Zoe, and Rob; many nephews and nieces that he loved very much; and special friends, including Ronnie Riley.

Services will be held at The Midway First Church of God, Midway Road, Midway, WV, with the Reverend Richard Walker and the Reverend John Scarbro officiating. Services will begin at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 13, 2015. Friends may visit with the family from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. prior to the services. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Beckley. We especially want to thank all of the wonderful staff of Neuroscience ICU-CAMC General, Charleston, WV, and the caring, loving staff at Hospice of Southern West Virginia.
