John P. Reynolds, 86, retired Deputy Chief of Police for the Town of Wallingford. He was the loving husband of Joyce Kwolek Reynolds.
John was born in Wallingford, January 5, 1929, a son of the late Patrick Reynolds and Bridgett McKeon Reynolds and was a lifelong Wallingford resident. John was a member of the Wallingford Police Department for 38 years, retiring as Deputy Chief of Police. He loved to travel, enjoyed working and maintaining his "park like" yard, and was known as "Mr. Popeye" for his vast collection of "Popeye" collectibles.

In addition to his wife Joyce, he is survived by his children Kathleen Reynolds Yaskot and her husband Greg, and Patrick Reynolds and his wife Debi; his 3 grandchildren Jesse Reynolds and his wife Christine, Caitlin Houston and her husband Brandon and Elizabeth Reynolds; his 3 great grandchildren Ian Reynolds, Finn Reynolds and Annabelle Houston. He is also survived by his brother James Reynolds; his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Dorothy Reynolds and Connie Reynolds; Judy and Jeff Mays, John Kwolek, and Janice Kwolek; and his best friends David Garcia and Florencio Garcia. He was predeceased by his daughter Maureen Reynolds; his 2 sisters Catherine Pierlioni and Helen French; his 2 brothers Thomas and Patrick Reynolds; and his brothers-in-law Joseph Kwolek, Silvio Pierlioni and Charles French.
