Born and raised in East Boston, one of 13 children, she was the daughter of the late John and Caroline Bobrek. When she married, she moved to the Fields Corner section of Dorchester. She and her family moved to Houghs Necks after her husband built a home there in 1957, where she lived until her death.
She was a communicant of Most Blessed Sacrament Church for almost 50 years.
She worked as an assembler at Joseph Pollack Corp. in Dorchester for 34 years.
Mrs. Butler was the matriarch of a large family of which she was passionate and proud.
Survivors include three daughters, Barbara M. Maltby of Wareham, Veronica M. Monti of Houghs Neck and Patricia L. Turowski of Abington; three sisters, Anna Cronin and Karolyn Bobrek, both of East Boston and Regina Gallagher of Salem; two brothers, the Rev. Edwin Bobrek of Encinitas, Calif., and Frank Bobrek of Reading; 17 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was the sister of the late Laura Ruscowski, Edward Bobrek, Rose Lavigueur, Edmund Bobrek, Helen Cairns, Frederick Bobrek and Sophie Condon.
Her funeral Mass was in Holy Trinity Parish at Most Blessed Sacrament Church. Burial was in Mount Wollaston Cemetery.
