Andrew Apple, for many years a resident of this city died Wednesday morning at 4:35 o’clock, at the West Penn hospital in Rochester, Pa., after a long illness, due to a complication of diseases.

Mr. Apple was 69 years of age, and lived in this city until ten years ago, when with his sons, he removed to Rochester, making his home there ever since. He had lived in thin city for a quarter of a century, previous to 1899, and during 20 years of this time was employed at the Gordon mill.

Mr. Apple was a veteran of the Civil war, having served with Company G, of the 155th Ohio Volunteer Infantry. During his residence here he was a member of the local post of tho G. A. R., but recently had dropped his membership. He was a member of the Methodist church at Rochester. While
in this city the family resided in Oakland.

Surviving to mourn his loss are the following children: Mrs. Olive Christopher, of Rochester, Herman Apple of 18 West Washington street, this city; Mrs. Gertrude Cromer of Philadelphia, Fred William Apple of the United States regular army, stationed at Manila and Andrew Lee Apple also of Rochester. His wife died in 1894 in this city.

The remains will be brought to this city Friday afternoon, arriving over the Pennsylvania at 2:30 o'clock. the funeral party will proceed at once to Greenwood cemetery, where the interment will be made.
