North Jay Man, 63, Dies from Injuries in Sunday Accident

NORTH JAY - Wallace Bryant, 63, died at noon Monday at the Franklin Memorial Hospital from injuries sustained early Sunday morning when he was hit by a car as he was walking along Route Four towards his home. He did not regain consciousness after the accident. Mr. Bryant was born at North Jay Feb. 6, 1880, at North Jay, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Emerson Bryant. he was educated in the town schools and as a young man was a farmer. Later he became a granite worker and recently has been employed as a night watchman at the Norrwock Shoe Factory. In 1911 he married Nettie Beatham of Kingman, who survives. He was a member of North Jay Grange and the Knights of Pythias. Surviving besides his widow are four daughters, Mrs. Ernest Cook, Mrs. Silas Wright, Phyllis and Leona Bryant; a son, Sherwood, and seven grandchildren, all of North Jay.

In Farmington, Feb. 2 - Wallace E. Bryant of North jay. Funeral services will be at the Edwards Funeral Home, Thursday, 2 p.m. Interment North Jay Cemetery.
