Keith "Skeeter" Hull Powell, 87, passed away on Thursday, September 10, 2015 at the Caribou Memorial Hospital of causes incident to age.

Skeeter was born in Ogden, Utah on August 16, 1928. He has one sister and had one brother (deceased). When their mother died, he left home at the age of thirteen and moved to Burley, ID, where he worked for an auctioneer. He was a ranch hand, truck driver and cowboy until the age of twenty when he married Patricia Taylor on July 10, 1948.

They lived in Burley, ID where they raised their six children. Skeeter ran a range sheep outfit along with his family. They spent their winters in Burley, and summers in Henry, ID. He had a love of horses and prided himself on having good horses. He sold the sheep outfit in 1983 and retired.

In retirement he enjoyed traveling, fishing and golfing. He married Gayle Adams Hufstetler on July 5, 2004. They spent their winters in California and summers in Soda Springs, ID.

Skeeter is survived by his wife Gayle Powell, Three sons and four daughters, TK (Debbie) Powell, of Burley, ID, Bill (Holly) Powell of Soda Springs, ID, Gary Hufstetler, of Phoenix, AZ, Jean "Merg" (Tim) Neuman of Georgetown, ID, LouAnne (Tony) Daz of Ogden, UT, Karen "Pooch" (Donny) Wilkinson, of Ogden, UT, Tricia (sonny) Calloway of Eden, UT. He is also survived by 22 Grandchildren and 24 Great-Grandchildren and one sister, Jean Sonnenfelt of Roy, UT. He was preceded in death by a son Dean Powell and a younger brother and parents.

Memorial services will be held on Monday, September 14, 2015 at Noon at the Sims Funeral Home in Soda Springs. The family will visit with friends on Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. and on Monday morning from 10:30-11:30 prior to services.
