Lawrence B. Hess passed away on August 5, 2015 after a brief illness. He was predeceased by his first wife, Elizabeth Marsters Hess. Larry is survived by his wife, Wendy; a sister, Joanne Britton; daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy (Steve) Howe, Karen (David) Rhodes and Kelly Evans; and stepsons, Nathan Abel and Jarrod (Katrina) Abel. Larry also leaves six grandchildren, Stephanie Sauer, Zach Witteman, Brandon and Katelyn Rhodes and Nathan and Elisabeth Evans. Larry attended Cicero North Syracuse and Syracuse University. He also served in the Coastguard. Larry enjoyed a long retirement after a lifetime working for Niagara Mohawk. He was an accomplished woodworker and always attentive to the smallest of details. Larry enjoyed spending time with family and friends and watching his grandchildren's sports and activities. He loved boating, ice skating, bike riding and being a snowbird in South Florida. Burial and prayer service will be September 26 at 11 a.m. at Assumption Cemetery. All friends welcome.
