Georgia Ann Rowan, 93, of Owensboro, passed away Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at her home surrounded by her family under the care of Hospice of Western KY. She was born June 9, 1922 in Owensboro, KY to the late Lonnie and Esther Hunter Hayden. She enjoyed crocheting and loved reading and gardening. She was a member of Precious Blood Catholic Church and Blessed Sacrament Church and Blue Army of Fatima.

Aside from her parents, she is preceded in death by 3 sons, Ellis Rowan Jr., William Everett Rowan and Richard Lawrence Rowan and 4 daughters, Katherine Rowan, Anna Marie Rowan, Thelma Bernice Rowan.

Surviving is her husband, Ellis Rowan of 74 years of marriage, her children, Kenneth Raye Rowan of Owensboro, Patricia Mays of Owensboro, Brenda Duneghy of Evansville, Cynthia Duneghy of Madisonville, Angela Webb of Illinois and Anna Duneghy of Brooklyn, NY; 4 sisters, Esther Black of Owensboro, Katherine Grundy of Indianapolis, Gloria (Benjamin) Adams of Hawesville and Helen (Samuel) Smith of Indianapolis; many grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

Mass of Christian burial will be 10 a.m. Monday at Blessed Sacrament with Father Suneesh Mathew officiating and burial to follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
