He attended Jackson Central Merry High School. He was a boxer at the Golden Gloves Boxing Club. In his Boxing Career, he became a champion boxer and had an undefeated record and made the Junior Olympian. He was employed with Waste Management for 27 Years.
At an early age, he accepted the Lord as his personal savior and united with the St. John No. 1 Baptist Church.
In 1983, he was united in holy matrimony to Miss Jeanette Faison. Later, he was united with Tommiesean Cunningham. To this union, two sons were born, Joe H. Cole, Jr., and Joshua P. Cole.
Mr. Cole was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Tommiesean Cole, and two brothers, Jennings Cole and Paul Cole, Jr.
He leaves to cherish his memories, two sons, Joe H. Cole, Jr., and Joshua P. Cole, both of Jackson, TN; a daughter, Yolanda Johnson of Humboldt, TN; two stepdaughters, Shaun Perry and Umiko Watson of Jackson, TN; three stepsons, Dantonia Neal , Major and Kevin Cunningham, all of Jackson, TN; ten aunts; four uncles; a devoted nephew, Kenneth B. Cole; a devoted aunt, Emma Cole; two devoted cousins, Bobby Ann Autry and Susan McKinney both of Jackson, TN and a host of nieces, nephew, cousins, family and friends, who loved and will miss him dearly.
