Jerry L. Albrecht died at 10:03am on September 9, 2015 in his Marion home. He was one of five children born in Indianapolis to the late Walpole and Mary Agnes Albrecht. He was married to Nancy Heiskell who preceded him in death on July 1, 1975. Later he married Susan Fread Bove on July 9, 1997. She survives.

Jerry attended Cathedral High School and then Purdue University, graduating with a B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering. He was a member of Kappa Sigma fraternity. He served in the U.S. Navy SeaBees Construction Battalion from 1959-1962 as a lieutenant (JG) upon his honorable discharge. In his career, he was the owner and president of Moorehead Electric Company, president of the industrial division of the Cablec Cable Company and vice president of national sales for the Okonite Cable Company.

Jerry served as president of the Marion General Hospital and the Marion Philharmonic Orchestra Board of Directors. He was a member of the Grant County Chamber of Commerce and the Economic Growth Council. He served as a trustee of Ivy Tech, Muncie. He was also a member of the John Purdue Club, the Nature Conservancy, Marion Aero Club and Saturday Morning Breakfast Club that meets on Tuesday and Friday. He enjoyed growing avocados in California, gardening, hunting, cooking and food preservation.

Additional survivors include sons, Stephen Albrecht, David Albrecht and Scott (Alexandra) Bove; daughters, Julia (John) Fenstermacher, Elizabeth (Randy) Isom and Katherine (Darren) Fujii; six grandchildren, Stephen Fenstermacher, Anna Fenstermacher, Jack Isom, Nicole Isom, Evan Fujii and Austin Fujii.
