Jon was born April 25, 1951 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to J. W. and Clara (Duke) Maytum. His family lived in various places and came to Great Falls were Jon received his education. He joined the Army with his best friend, Jim Wellington, serving basic training at Ft. Lewis, Washington. Jon was stationed in the states before going to Germany then to Vietnam with the 101st Airborne. After his tour of duty he returned to Great Falls.
Jon installed cable TV for over 20 years in Great Falls. He enjoyed shooting pool, hunting, fishing and anything to do outdoors. The mountains were his church.
Jon is survived by his wife; daughter; son; mother-in-law; stepdad; three brothers; several half brothers and sisters; two grandchildren; and his numerous other friends.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, J. W. Lee and Clara Maytum.
