FRANKLIN - Sally Ann (Weisensel) Gordon, 74, of Franklin, died Tuesday, July 4, 2006, at the Stanley R. Tippett House in Needham.

She was the wife of Charles B. Gordon Sr. since 1954.

Born in Madison, Wis., she was a daughter of the late Reynold and Violet (Mayhew) Weisensel.

Mrs. Gordon was a resident of Franklin since 1968 and formerly lived in Chicago. Before her retirement, she was a telephone operator at the former New England Telephone Co. for many years and also worked in Chicago at the phone company there.

She was a communicant of St. Mary's Church in Franklin and a member of the St. Mary's Woman's Club. She was also a member of the Telephone Pioneers. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Besides her husband, she leaves four sons, the Rev. Charles B. Gordon, C.S.C., of Portland, Ore., Terrance A. Gordon of Norfolk, Robert P. Gordon of North Attleborough and Matthew J. Gordon of Franklin and four daughters, Adele M. Williamson of North Attleborough, Lynda G. Joseph of Kettering, Ohio, Teresa M. Walls of Franklin and Cynthia E. Olson of North Attleborough; and 16 grandchildren, Kenneth, Lauren, Michelle and Bradford Williamson, Kyle, Patrick, Luke and Nicholas Gordon, Katherine, Matthew and Robert Joseph, Sarah, Michael and Charles Olson and Jessica and Julia Walls.
