Carolyn was a member of First United Methodist Church, National Society of Colonial Dames of America and a former member and President of Sumter Historic Trust. She was also a member of the Downtown Development Authority of Americus and the Junior Service League of Americus. She founded the recently formed Council Club which is a division of Sumter Historic Trust.
She graduated from Americus High School and attended the University of Georgia where she was a member of Chi Omega Sorority.
For over twenty years she was the manager of the ladies department at The Kinnebrew Company.
After her retirement from The Kinnebrew Company she started taking art lessons and painting became a passion for her during the past few years.
Carolyn loved her three daughters unconditionally and a high point was whenever all three could be with her at the same time: they had a ball! She loved and adored her grandchildren and every meeting with them brought happiness to her heart.
Her survivors include daughters, Ashley Riccardi Hatcher (Neill), Columbus, GA. Haley Riccardi Fowler (David), Denver, Colorado. Kara Riccardi McMickle (Donnie), Macon, GA, grandchildren Neill (Bo) Hatcher, Jr., Nancy Hatcher, Madison McMickle, Olivia McMickle, Louis McMickle, Miles McMickle, Katherine Fowler and Garner Fowler, brother, Easton Hulme Kinnebrew, III, (Janet), Americus, GA and sister, Jerry Kinnebrew Crisp (Henry) Americus, GA and many nieces and nephews.
She is also survived by Joe’s children, Jonathan Alan Daniel (Kristi), Alpharetta,GA and Paige Daniel Mesaros (Matt) Roswell,GA, as well as grandchildren Madison Daniel, Katelyn Daniel, Sam Mesaros and Sarah Mesaros.
There will be a memorial service at The First United Methodist Church on 8/26/2015 at 11 AM. The family will receive friends at the home of Nancy K.Bell, 108 Wood Valley Road, after the service. There will be a private burial service for family only.
The family would like to thank so many caring and compassionate friends who have sent cards, flowers and food during Carolyn’s illness.
