Dino was born to Mr. Walter Campbell and Mrs. Dorothea Mann Campbell in Bay City, Mich., where he grew up with seven siblings. Dino served in the Pacific theater in World War II with the U.S. Marine Corps 1st Division. After the war, he married Ramona "Mona" Dial Ervin. They built a home in Arlington in 1960 and raised their two children there. Dino retired from the U.S. Postal Service and enjoyed many years competing in horseshoe pitching tournaments all around the country. On Dec. 21, 1982, Dino became involved with AA and through that organization, he was able to help change many lives and extend his family.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ramona "Mona" Campbell; brothers, Clayton "Clayte" Campbell, Milo Campbell, Colen "Coke" Campbell and Miles Campbell; and sisters, Annette Jones and Lucille Churchill.
Survivors: Dino is survived by his eldest sister, Sue "Memes" McCorkle of Portland, Ore.; his son, William Ray Campbell of Rhome; his daughter, Linda Kay Perkins of Boyd; two granddaughters; four great-grandchildren; and his beloved dog, Big Guy.
