Born on July 21, 1950, in Amory, MS, She was the Daughter of the late Holmer and Mae Sargent Hester.
Growing up, Iris Graduated from the Class of 1968 in Amory.
She Furthered her Education and Received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from St. Dominic’s School of Nursing, Jackson, MS.
Iris was a Talented Nurse and Worked for Thirty Two Years Serving the Public.
She was the Director of Nursing at the Taylor Harden Medical Facility for Many Years.
In 2004, she was Awarded the Nurse of the Year Award at Taylor Harden Medical Facility.
Iris was a Member of Gregory Chapel Baptist Church in Amory.
She Loved to Read Books and Play Dominoes with Friends.
Iris also had Two Special Furbabies, Bama and Beau.
She Especially Enjoyed Reading a Good Book by John Grisham or Steven King.
Iris Loved Music, like Old Country Music and Rock n Roll.
She was also Gifted in that she was an Excellent Piano Player.
Most of All she Enjoyed Spending Precious Time with her Grandchildren.

Burial will follow in Haughton Memorial Park, Amory.
