Bonnie Jean (Oliver) Barker, age 43, of North Vernon, Indiana, passed away in the early morning hours of September 8, 2015 at the IU Simon Cancer Center in Indianapolis, Indiana. Bonnie was born in Madison, Indiana on August 30, 1972 to John and Lucille Emery. She was adopted by Bob and Julie Oliver in 1979 and raised in Franklin, Indiana along with her surviving brother Jerry Wayne Oliver of North Vernon, Indiana and her sister Sherry Rae Czerwonky of Avon, Indiana. Bonnie also has other Emery siblings who have all recently reunited as a family. They include Barry Boyd and George Lamb of Greensburg, Indiana, Carrie Boyd of Texas, Larry Boyd of Sunman, Indiana, Barbara Morris of North Vernon, Indiana, Timothy Walters of Effingham, Illinois, and Beverly and Jill Chambers and Billy Emery of Madison, IN. Bonnie is survived by both parents Bob and Julie Oliver and birth mother Lucille Emery. Bonnie attended high school at both Indian Creek in Johnson County and Indianapolis Christian School. During various years she enjoyed participating in volleyball, the swim team, gymnastics, choir and 4-H. She was an active member of the Franklin Church of Christ (now Turning Point) until she moved to southern Indiana, where she has lived in Seymour, Austin, Osgood and most recently North Vernon, Indiana. Bonnie was known for her generous nature and loving heart and will be greatly missed by her family. Bonnie is survived by her children: Deone Michael Oliver, Mariah Ann Barker and Hailey Dawn Barker and her ex-husband: Robert Barker of Seymour, Indiana.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am, Friday, September 11, 2015 at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street Vevay, Indiana.

Interment will follow in the Vevay Cemetery, Vevay, Indiana.
