Joseph Vaughn Harrington, Sr., 69, died Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at Forrest General Hospital.
Services will be Friday, September 11, 2015 at 10 a.m. at Moore Petal Chapel followed by burial in Hillcrest Cemetery.
Mr. Harrington was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He was a member of and a past commander of Lacy Kelly VFW Post 3036 where he was a member of the Military Order of Cootie Pup Tent 7 (Hub Bugs).
He was preceded in death by his parents, Vincent and Emma Harrington.
He is survived by his wife, Joann Hopkins Harrington of Petal; one son, Joey (Laura Bissell) Harrington of Petal; one grandson, Fritz Harrington; one granddaughter, Maggie Harrington; four brothers, Bill (Ann) Harrington of Hattiesburg, Jerry (Norma) Harrington of Jacksonville, Fla., Earnie (Janet) Harrington of Petal, and Vint (Linda) Harrington of Hattiesburg; five sisters, Floye Berry of Petal, Bettye Lot of Hattiesburg, Margaret Elequin of Colorado, Janie Branham of Jacksonville, Fla., and Barbara Alice Berke of Indiana; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Thursday, September 10, 2015 at Moore Funeral Home in Petal from 5 – 8 p.m.
