Teresa Johnson Porter was born to Lynn and Shirley Steed Johnson on March 11, 1957 in Afton. She grew up on a ranch in Auburn with her two brothers Wade Johnson and Billy Johnson.
She enjoyed playing softball, volleyball, coaching little league, and spending time with her 4H kids. She loved to ride horses, go four wheeling, fishing, bowling and most of all golfing.
She was a hard worker and spent most of her career working at the Maverik in Afton. She finished out her working career at the Star Valley Medical Center.
She loved being a grandma and loved to have the grandkids, family, and friends over for barbeques and dinners. She enjoyed planting flowers and spent hours working on her lawn.
Teresa was blessed with five children: Justin, Rita, Genista, Jessie and Michael. She met and married the love of her life, John Porter, on Feb. 5, 2000.
Teresa passed away on the evening of Sept. 7, 2015 surrounded by her family.
Teresa is survived by her husband John Porter; her father Lynn (Elaine) Johnson; Brothers Billy (Amy) Johnson and Wade (Beth) Johnson; her children Justin Guzman (Hillary), Rita Truchan (John); Genista Rifenbark (Justin); Jessie Johns; Michael Johns (Kelly); Matt Porter (Nicole) and nine grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Shirley Steed Johnson.
