Rena was born April 19, 1933 in Mt. Union, PA. She is preceded in death by her parents, William C. and Melva (Rowles) Knepp, her first husband, Ira F. Conner who died in 1994, her second husband Forrest Wiest who died in 2006 and son-in-law, Lance Phillips. She is survived by her children, Bill (Diane) Conner of Prosper, TX, Jim (Barbara) Conner of Bear, DE and Christine Phillips of Dagsboro, DE; four grandchildren, J. B. Conner, Conner Phillips, Gary Gray and Nick Gray.
With 37 years of service Rena retired from DuPont Experimental Station as an Administrator. Mrs. Wiest was a member of Sweet Adeline's and a Charter Member of the Women of the Moose Lodge #2204-Roxana. She was an avid Steeler Fan and also a member of bowling, dart and shuffleboard leagues throughout the area.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 9, 2016 at the Ocean View Chapel of Melson Funeral Services from 2 P.M. to 3 P.M. The service will follow at 3 P.M. in the funeral home. Interment will be in St. George's Cemetery in Clarksville.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
