Peggy Joyce Chandler, 76, of Florence passed away on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at Mitchell Hollingsworth.

Mrs. Chandler volunteered at Glenwood Nursing Home where she was named volunteer of the year. She was a member of Lee Heights Baptist church for many years. As a cancer survivor, she participated in the Relay for Life Walk and events. Many people of Florence were graced with her winning smile, her tender touch, and her infectious laughter and sense of humor as she served them in her waitress profession of waiting tables for nearly 50 years. Peggy leaves on this earth a bountiful legacy of strength, courage, love and a giving spirit for her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family and friends. To all who knew her and touched her life, a heartfelt Thank You!

She was preceded in death by her husband, JW Chandler; daughter, Mary Joyce Chandler; parents, Charlie and Irene Bee; sister, Ruth Dean; brother, Charles Bee; and grandson, Gregory Wilson.

Survivors include her daughter, Carol Wilson-Ash (Gerald) of Monett, MO; grandchildren, Mike Wilson (Laura) of Humble, TX, and Kimberly Chastain (Doug) of Springfield, MO; great-grandchildren, Donovan Wilson, Morgan Wilson, Ian Wilson, Lucas Wilson, Makenzie Chastain, and Hannah Chastain; brother, David Bee (Redith) and sister, Martha Bee, all of Florence; numerous beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great nieces and great-great nephews.
