Monica graduated from Northwestern High School and later attended Duquesne University in Pittsburgh where she met her husband of 13 years, Kenny Wilson. Monica later transferred to Temple University in Philadelphia where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance. Monica entered the workforce and worked for several high profile corporate companies, including but not limited to, Accounting Principles, Smith Barney, Eli Lilly and Allergan. During her time working in the pharmaceutical industry, Monica earned many accolades and won countless rep, team and area manager of the year awards.
Monica loved traveling, reading mystery novels, watching her favorite TV shows and movies all while just relaxing in her ‘spot’ (on the couch).
Monica loved unconditionally. She was a humanitarian and enjoyed helping people. Monica adored her son, Kyle, and helped to mold him into the young man he is today.
After a long battle with illness, Monica entered peacefully into eternal rest on Monday, March 4, 2013. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Kenny, one son Kyle, her mother and father Mr. and Mrs. Lonnie Adams, father-in-law Kenneth Anthony, Mother-in-law Michele Anthony, aunts, uncles and a host of cousins, relatives and friends.
Relatives and friends were invited to her viewing on Monday, March 11, 2013 from 9:00 A.M. and funeral service at 11:00 A.M. at Wetzel and Son Funeral Home, 501 Easton Road, Willow Grove, PA 19090. Her graveside service followed at Hillside Cemetery, 2556 Susquehanna Road, Roslyn, PA 19001.
Religious services were conducted by Bishop Raymond Walker, Jr. from the Open Door Mission True Light Church in Philadelphia.
