Army SFC. Michael C. Parrott, 49, of Timnath, Colo.; assigned to the Joint Forces Headquarters, Colorado Army National Guard, Cheyenne, Wyo.; died Nov. 10 in Balad, Iraq, of injuries sustained in Khalidiyah, Iraq, where his unit was attacked by enemy forces using small arms fire. Also killed was Sgt. Joshua A. Terando. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 19 years, Meg Corwin of Timnath; son, Jason Corwin of Fort Collins, Colo.; brother, Jim Parrott and his wife, Peggy, of Greenville, S.C.; niece, Lindsay Parrott; grandfather, James T. Parrott Sr. of Canton; and his dog, Dixie.
