Cecil Arthur Whetsel, age 68, died July 8, 1990.

Born August 26, 1921 in Halleysville, Oklahoma to Burt and Ellen Johnson Whetsel. Married Lucille Effenberger on January 10, 1946. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Army. He worked as a locomotive engineer at Kennecott Copper Corp. for 43 years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Survived by his wife, Lucille, Lark; two daughters, Diann Stokes, Lynette Ingledew, both West Jordan; three grandchildren, Audrey Stokes, Brigette Ingledew, and Matthew Ingledew; brother, Charles Whetsel, Riverton; two sisters, Violet Bachman, Salt Lake City; Genevieve Garcia, Gunnison, Utah.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 11, 1990, at 10 a.m., in the Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary Chapel, 10600 South 1700 East, Sandy, where friends may call Tuesday, 6-7 p.m., and Wednesday, one hour prior to the service. Vigil service will be held Tuesday at 7 p.m. Interment Larkin Sunset Gardens.
