Jeanette Marie Miller, 79, passed away on Friday, April 10, 2015, at her home in Athol, Idaho.

Jeanette was born Dec. 17, 1935, in Auburn, Wash., to Bert and Mary (Cluster) Vanderbilt. She lived in North Idaho most of her life. On Nov. 13, 1954, Jeanette married Robert Miller in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.

Jeanette loved taking care of others and did so until the end. She loved cooking, baking, sewing, crocheting and gardening. She was a very giving and accepting person. Her house was always full on holidays (or any day really) with family and friends. Everyone was always welcome in her home, and the minute you walked through the door she would offer you something to eat. Her grandkids and great-grandkids loved that she always had fresh baked cookies!

Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Robert Miller; and her granddaughter, Pennie Marie. She is survived by her brother, Bud (Mary) Vanderbilt of Hayden Lake, Idaho; daughter Robbie (Dan) Spray of Graham, Wash., son Rick Miller of Spirit Lake, Idaho, daughter Vickie (Don) Hulsizer of Osburn, Idaho, and son John (Jodi) Miller of Athol; best friend of 68 years, Ida Parks; grandchildren: Rebecca (Tom Welt) Bussell of Tacoma, Wash., Joe Bussell of Yelm, Wash., Don (Mandalyn) Hulsizer, Jr., of Hoffman Estates, Ill., Gina (Rob) Strobel of Coeur d'Alene, Jeremy (Charlene) Miller of Athol, Jessica (Nick) Danskey of Belgarde, Mont., J.R. (Jessica) Miller of Rathdrum, Bobby Miller of Athol, and Robert Miller of Spirit Lake. She is also survived by 20 great-grandchildren: Colby, Ashlynne, Spencer, Everleigh, Emerson, Rylee, Paul, Jordyn, Dakota, Justin, Elizabeth, Dallas, Erika, Gunnar, Grant, Kendra, Joey, Randy, Ryan and Ayla.

A private family ceremony has already taken place. Donations can be made to the Hospice of North Idaho in Jeanette's honor.
