Johnny Ray Elliott, age 71, of Scottsboro, AL, passed away September 6, 2015.
He is survived by his wife: Wilda Elliott of Scottsboro, AL; two sons: Dwight (Sadie) Elliott of Virginia, Tim (Nina) Elliott of Scottsboro, AL; two daughters: Melinda Knight of Scottsboro, AL, Alisa (Jeff) Deerman of Scottsboro, AL; four brothers: Kenny Elliott of Estill Springs, TN, Bethel Elliott of McMinnville, TN, Luther Elliott of Lavergne, TN, Huey (Sandra) Elliott of Winchester, TN; seven grandchildren, six great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a special sister-in-law: Alma Burchette.
He was preceded in death by his father: Virgil Elliott; mother: Marylee Owensby; grandson: Nicholas Elliott; four brothers: William Elliott, Shorty Elliott, Vick Elliott, and Joseph Owensby.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, September 9, 2015 from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Scottsboro Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 11:00 am, Thursday, September 10, 2015 at Scottsboro Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Grady Cornelison officiating. Burial will follow at Shelton Cemetery.
