JEANERETTE - Services for Mrs. William C. Mayfield, 93, the former Anne Laudun, will begin at 11 a.m. Monday at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with the Rev. Ed Degeyter officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. today at David Funeral Home with a 6:30 p.m. rosary service. The funeral home will re-open Monday from 8 a.m. until the time of services.

A native of Centerville and a resident of Jeanerette, Mrs. Mayfield died at 4:15 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 31, 2004, at her residence.

Mrs. Mayfield was a past member of the Garden Club and the Alter Society. She worked as a secretary for Roane Flying Service for 25 years.

She is survived by her sister, Marguerite Dublan of New Orleans, and a host of nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.

Mrs. Mayfield was preceded in death by her husband, William C. Mayfield; her father, Frederick Laudun; her mother, Margaret Nielson Laudun; four brothers, Ernest Laudun, John Joseph Laudun, Frederick Raymond Laudun and Harold J. Porche; and three sisters, Cecile Miller, Eula M. Talbot and Marie Young.

Pallbearers will be Edward S. Miller IV, Jeb Miller, Cardell Jumonville Sr., Shawn Switzer, Wayne J. Landry, John Laudun Jr., Michael K. Deare and John Kris Deare.

Honorary pallbearers will be Edward S. Miller III, William Schremp, Sterling Dublan, John Laudun Sr., Marshall Young, William Porche, Michael Guardia and Ricky Deare.

David Funeral Home of Jeanerette is in charge of arrangements.
