Jeanette A. Wingate, 91 of Dagsboro, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 22, 2016 at the Delaware Hospice Center, Milford, DE. She was born on December 11, 1924 to Ernest and Bertha Adams.She retired from The State of Delaware Family Services as a Social Worker in 1980.

She was pre-deceased by her beloved husband, Warren Wingate, and two daughters, Carolyn and Patsy.

She is survived by two daughters, Gail W. Smith and husband, Ronald from Dagsboro, Mary Jane Beck and husband, Chris, from Pennsylvania.

She is also survived by grandchildren, Todd (Marie) Smith, Meredith Beck, Christopher Beck (Joanne), Caitlin Beck; great-grandchildren, Carol Ann Smith and Luke Smith. She is also survived by brothers, Clinton (Louise) Adams, Calvin Adams, Dale (Mae) Adams; sisters, Martha Landon and Grace Byrd; sisters-in-law, Marie Mitchell, Faye Daisey, Marie Adams, and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held on Monday, May 2, 2016; with visitation 12:00-1:00, service at 1:00 performed by Pastor Marie Smith and Pastor Mike Ennis at The River, A Wesleyan Church, 35175 Roxana Road, Frankford, DE 19945. Interment will be in St. George's Cemetery in Clarksville.In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE, 19963.
