Charles Gilliam Kelly

Buchanan, VA/ Dryden, VA Charles Kelly was born and raised in Dryden, VA, the son of the late Benton and Ruby Blair Kelly.
After finishing high school in Dryden, he joined the U.S. Air Force serving 13 years during which he was active in the Korean Conflict. After his discharge, he returned to Lee County where he operated a produce market and farmed for many years. He had resided in Buchanan, VA for the past 5 years.
Other than his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa Kelly Gibson, two brothers, Gary Kelly and Gene Kelly.
He is survived by one daughter, Katrina Ramsey and husband Daniel. Two sons, Charles Danny Kelly and wife Beverly, John Mark Kelly and wife Michelle. Grandchildren, Sarena, Adrian, LaDonya, Nathan, Austin, Aron, Ricky and Tabitha. 17 great grandchildren. Two brothers, Ted Kelly and wife Charlene, Benton Kelly Jr. and wife Lucille. Sisters-in-law, Cathy Kelly and Carol Kelly.
Family will receive friends from 6 until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 10, 2015 at Sturgill Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday morning with Pastor Donald Elswick officiating. Burial will follow in the Blair Cemetery in the Deep Springs community.
